Hello everyone,
We have launched the Anjalis Boutique blog this month. Exciting times lie ahead, where we will be regularly informing you about news from the boutique as well as some general topics we want to discuss with you.
We want to hear from you in regards to our posts and please leave your comments because we want to know what you think.
Most people will have heard about Movember. Basically, the Mo, slang for moustache and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember first clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
So has anyone been supporting this cause? It’s a great idea, brining unity to men worldwide.
But, my main question, in regards to men and facial hair and let’s throw in chest hair too, is if women would be happy for their other half to make the change? Lets be honest, especially in the Asian community, where the bushy moustache has been subject to ridicule for younger generations, there seems to be little support out there for donning the recent 'Salman Khan' look in movie Dabangg.
What about chest hair? Men seem to be more accepting to showing a little chest hair these days. Women what do you think? A fashion faux pa or fashion disaster?

Well I'm all in for some 3 day stubble (on men!!!) which is rather very attractive but I have to draw the line when it comes to a full blown ZZ TOP beard.
ReplyDeleteHowever - all is acceptable when it comes down to raising money for charity...I would even put up with handle bar a moustache!!
I agree, when it comes to charity I think its a fab idea, it gets people talking and creating awareness which is what its all about. I think some guys can get away with more facial hair then others, just really depends but I like the younger variety lol so I would say keep it clean shaven guys! Chest hair a big no no, although I have noticed plenty guys who are wearing cleavage popping shirts- put it away, for goodness sake :)
ReplyDeleteIt’s not the chest hair that I mind, Infact I quite like it! For me its those really skinny angular chiselled goatees that men so carefully sculpt onto thier jaw lines - YUK!! I wonder why men think this is attactive?
